No elegant celebration is complete without the Champagne Sabre, turning the act of opening a bottle into a ceremonial spectacle. With a swift, assured motion, the sabre cleanly removes the neck, leaving a pristine edge from which to serve. This practice, ‘sabrage’, is more than ceremony — it’s an art form born in France, a delightful dance of hedonism and conquest that began in the time of Napoleon, an enduring part of the storied tradition of French Champagne.

Sabring champagne is a pinnacle of enjoyment for connoisseurs of this fizzy elixir. It’s not a Herculean task if one commands the fundamental technique: tracing the champagne sabre’s shiny blade along the bottle’s unassuming seam, and concluding with a swift, assured action!

When aiming to regale companions with this lively ceremony, a couple of prerequisites stand out: undoubting conviction in your motion and a high-calibre sabre. Who could better furnish the confidence for a spotless spectacle than Laguiole en Aubrac?

Be advised, due to the unique character of the materials used in crafting the handle, the item you receive may exhibit slight variations from the image presented.

About Zebu Horn Tip Handle

Zebu horn has thermoplastic properties, which means it can be softened and made malleable by heating. It can then be bent, shaped and moulded into various contours to create the pressed horn products in our range. It is with the lowest part of the horn that we apply only this technique: the pressed horn. The tip of the horn is unique and precious.

Un-worked horns has a rough dull surface, however after sanding and polishing the horn takes on a smooth glossy appearance, it is only at this stage that it’s true colours appear. While cattle horn can be nearly any colour, it is generally a light creamy colour, sometimes streaked with white, brown or black patches.
