The Champagne Sabre stands as the pinnacle of refinement at any celebratory gathering or dinner party. Gliding the blade along the champagne bottle’s contour, the neck is severed in a clean sweep, leaving the remainder perfectly formed for serving. This ceremonial act, termed ‘sabrage’ in its native France, transcends mere indulgence, embodying both the hedonist and the victor. Tracing its origins to the era of Napoleon, the art of sabrage is interwoven with the illustrious heritage of French Champagne.

The ceremonial sabrage of champagne is a prized moment for enthusiasts of this effervescent delight. Contrary to popular belief, the art of sabring isn’t complex if one grasps the basic technique: guide the sabre’s gleaming blade along the bottle’s subtle seam and, with a bold, unflinching sweep, execute the sabre!

To present this captivating display for friends or family, two components are vital: unwavering confidence in your gesture and a sabre of supreme quality. Who better to instil the assurance needed for a seamless act than Laguiole en Aubrac?

Be advised, due to the unique character of the materials used in crafting the handle, the item you receive may exhibit slight variations from the image presented.”

About Olivewood :

Olive wood is used to make exclusive knife handles. It has a gray, beautifully nuanced color and strong individual pattern. Olive wood is very hard and dense as well as moisture-resistant.

Olive trees are known for their gnarled and knobby growth. The slow growth on mostly barren, dry soil and the oddly irregular shape of the olive tree give the wood very special properties.

The slow growth makes olive wood very dense and hard – harder than any other type of wood indigenous to Europe.

The gnarled shape creates a typical individual pattern that varies from tree to tree.
